2014 SAAMHC Christmas Party - Dec. 7, 2014
A big thank you to Karen & Rand Fuller for their hospitality and work in hosting this party. Lunch, which featured a smoked brisket and a huge variety of side dishes and desserts was very much enjoyed by all. Rand commented while we were eating, "he'd never heard this group so quiet"! The food was absolutely delicious - thanks to all! It was a great afternoon visiting with other "mini" lovers and getting to know some of the other talents our members have - right Liz!?
Our high point winners were announced and awards were presented to:
Dottie Leinweber - Open B Division and ASPR
Bob Leinweber - Amateur B Division
Lily Richards - Open A Division
Jeanette Donelson - Amateur Division
Christy Carter - Youth A and Youth B Division
CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL!
The winner of our Christmas Carol game was Suzie Silva - the rest of us need to brush up on Christmas Carols!!!!!!!!!!!
We also participated in the ever popular White Elephant Gift Exchange which is always great fun. I would like to say that everyone went home with a great gift they wanted but I think it was more like "someone" went home with the great gift everyone wanted!
Thanks to all who attended at this very busy time of year and hope you had a great afternoon!
Enjoy the photos posted on the Photo Gallery tab and have a wonderful holiday season!

Meeting, In Hand and Driving Practice
1049 Old Boerne Rd.
Bulverde, Texas

Please RSVP prior to July 4 @ jeanettedonelson@yahoo.com or 210 387-4282
(If you are a member and did not receive this notice via your email, please update your email address with the club.)
There will be a combination meeting and practice held at the Donelson residence at 1049 Old Boerne Rd. Bulverde, Texas. I realize there is travel and time involved with holding these club events, so I would like to try to have fewer meetings and incorporate more into the meetings/events that we do have. We will have a brief meeting to discuss the 2014 Family Fiesta Show as well as any new ideas and progress on the 2015 show and vote on a proposed change regarding the term our officers serve. The proposal changes the term from Jan 1 through Dec 31 to Jul 1 through Jun 30 which allows for complete planning of the Fiesta Family Show currently held in May. Elections would be held in June as opposed to December. The next anticipated event may be toward the end of September when we might possibly be able to schedule our play day games event.
At the July event, Carli Carter will be holding a clinic on in hand work (obstacles and jumping) and we also have an arena (120 x 80) to drive. We do have some great “teens” that could help our younger members with handling, grooming, braiding, etc. Sometimes young children learn more from other young people (not us old folks!) If enough kids are interested and plan to attend, I will need to know how many would be coming in order to set this up.
We will be providing drinks and lunch so I would appreciate knowing how many adults and children will be attending as soon as possible.

Equine Dental Exam and Floating with Carl Mitz and Practice Day
Carl Mitz will be here to exam and float your Minis teeth, if needed. So if your mini had not had their teeth inspected in the last 6 months now is the time to get them inspected and have any work done that is needed. Carl is very caring with your mini. If your mini needs work it will be $60 paid directly to Carl. If no work is required the exam is free. Carl designed the instruments he uses on the minis and is on the Equine Board for the State of TX.
After the floating we will have a practice day. Jumps will be set up, in hand and driving obstacles will also be set up and the driving arena will be open.
